My First Tutorial
I've made my first tutorial. And it's so easy you'll wonder why you didn't think of it yourself. Seriously.
Easy Sewing Machine Cover
1 pillowcase (I chose vintage)
Ruler or measuring tape
Marking pen
Sewing Machine
Scissors
Pinking shears
1. Get your stuff out.
2. Slide the pillowcase over your machine and measure the height. Give yourself an extra 1/2" or so.
3. Mark the pillowcase where you want to cut it. Cut it straight across. Turn the pillowcase inside out. Sew it shut.
4. Match the top seam to the side seam to make a little triangle. Measure as far down and you want and sew straight across. Cut with your pinking shears.
5. Slide over your machine and smile at your work! The end.
How easy was that? Seriously. And how sad is it that I feel incredibly cool for thinking of it?

Cute baby
I went to a baby shower last weekend and I just wanted to share with you the onsies I made. These were SO easy and I thought they turned out cute! I like to take something a little different to showers when I go and this fits the bill. They were fun to make too.
Of course we were not without our mishaps. And would you believe that this is the LAST one I made? Not the first? It's supposed to say "I'll have a bottle of the house white." Get it? House white? Well, I thought it was funny.
All in all they turned out pretty well. I have a few more friends expecting so I'm going to keep playing and see what I can come up with. What did you think?
I liked this one because it felt a little rock'n'roll. It was supposed to be this dark purple but the colors didn't translate very well.
This one is my FAVORITE. Peace, love and cupcakes.
I'm new. :-)
Aw, sweet pea.

Sassy Flirty Apron Swap
I love aprons. L-O-V-E them. I am getting better at making them and I really like to swap them. It's fun to put together a little package for someone you don't know and then to get a little surprise in the mail yourself. It's been awhile since I've participated in a swap so I signed up for Lucy and Shawnee's Sassy Flirty Apron swap. The basic idea was a handmade sassy apron with a valentine theme.
This time I made a very cute apron that I had been wanting to try. I was a little intimidated by all the ruffles but I think it actually came out pretty cute! Sorry for the blurry photo. It was LATE and I was very tired. I'm excited to try this pattern out again now that I've done it once. Who wants a ruffly apron?
What I got in return was so awesome! How cute is this apron made by Alta?
I sent ruffles and I got ruffles! And the package she put together was really cute too. She even made me a card! All in all, I totally scored! So thanks Alta! Sorry the pictures of the apron aren't so great. I need a model!
